Due to growth in the business we are looking for a skilled Administrator to join our team.
About us:
We are a small professional services firm based in Mornington, our clients are mainly based on the peninsula but we have clients from the South East Suburbs, Australia and Overseas. We put our professional values first and aim to provide professional service to our clients. Our focus is on tax and private wealth.
About the Role:
The roles primary functions are:
- Maintain and update our client databases across a number of software systems
- Assist with interactions with Government Agencies and Financial Institutions – again maintaining our client data, working with various forms of paperwork and assisting clients to execute various transactions.
- Knowledge of clients affairs, developing professional relationships with our clients. With time you would ideally know most or all of our clients by name as we do.
- Part time – 100% office based at our Mornington office
- 10 – 15 hours / wk Can easily fit within school hours (hours to be negotiated)
- Alan the practice owner generally takes his own calls and books clients directly so this role is not as “Reception” based as it would be in some similar firms. You do still need to be comfortable and professional on the phone.
About you:
- You will take joy from organising data and doing things neatly and perfectly
- You will enjoy filling in paperwork and derive satisfaction and happiness from perfectly completed forms and perfect data
- Be quiet and happy to work in a quiet and calm workplace. We do get busy at times but as we all have our own workloads to get on with this is inherently a quiet and calm workplace. If you are the life of the party you will most likely not enjoy working here… As a professional firm a lot of what we do is diffuse what can be an emotional or dis organised situation / clients and turn the situation into a calm and ordered output like a tax return or perfectly completed piece paperwork.
- No prior experience in our software or working for an Accountant required but you will need to be able to cope in a professional setting – for example write professional letters or emails; use software and IT and be able to learn IT and adapt to changing IT environments. We all hate computers some days but really you need to embrace them and enjoy a good word document or piece of time saving software to work here.
- Able to manage your own work tasks, time and learning.
- We hope you will connect with our values and appreciate the professional satisfaction doing this role gives you and will still be here in five or ten years time.
You can apply by writing a letter or email addressing the about you about the role points above and sending it to the practice owner Alan alan@accountantmm.com.au
