I love creative Accounting…hang on isn’t that illegal? Well no,that’s not what I mean. I guess another way to describe what I am talking about is proactive or strategic accounting to achieve a certain business or taxation result. What this means is looking at your business plans and making sure we create the correct set of structures and business systems to allow you to achieve your goals (legally!), it is quite amazing how often I find clients whos structures really do not suit their personal needs or their business goals. Just this week I adjusted the way a clients business was set up and also reviewed the way they were drawing their income, ie how much profit were they retaining, how much wage, super etc and by performing this re-adjustment I achieved savings of $50,000. (per year!) While this seems like a lot of money or quite far fetched its actually quite common to save clients $10,000-$50,000 by proactively reviewing the way their business is set up.
