I grew up as many children did, spending time in my Mothers Business, It just happens that my Mother is a Veterinary Surgeon. Being baby sat by nurses and baby animals eventually turned into working part time as a Teenager in the practice and then again while I did my early Accounting and Stock Broking Studies (I do not work as a Stockbroker currently though). There is no doubt seeing Mum struggle financially with her young business was a strong motivator for me to understand Business and the Business of Veterinary Practice in particular.
Since then I have completed studies with the AVPMA as well as finishing my studies and going out in practice myself (now some 12 or so years ago). Along the way I have worked with other Veterinary Clinics, from brand new start ups, Practitioners buying their first Practice to Long Established Practices. I have Helped with many with Business Profitability, set up a Self Managed Super Funds to buy Practice Real Estate, helped with Staffing & HR and Inventory Management.
My strength (and so this my Practices Strength) is in doing your Tax and Accounting well, on time every time as well as being available on the phone or face to face if you have a question or issues. I love doing what I do and am involved in a hands on way in preparing Financials and Tax Returns because I enjoy it.
With Veterinary Practice clients I prefer to work with and help clients who are focused on what I consider to be the Professional Practice of Veterinary Medicine rather than Commercilisation of Veterinary Medicine, while I do have extensive experience in Commercialisation of Professional Businesses (and Business in General) I prefer to work with Veterinary Practices that are focused on delivering excellent patient and client outcomes as well as providing rewarding and comfortable work environments for Practice Owners and Team Members.
